Thank you all for your kind words, yes a simple to put together kit is allowing for a somewhat speedy build which is making it perfect with just over a week to go :)

fubar57 fubar57 that is interesting, I have always thought it odd to use a metallic colour inside a cockpit area but my 2 completed Zero's have had it via a Tamiya paint (can't recall what number atm) but the silver instrument panel in this intrigued me so I went looking to see what others had done and it was then that I found the 2 restored examples.

Tonight has seen me get up to the point where I need to mask the glasswork

Fitted the wheels and landing gear doors

Painted the defensive gun and am actually pretty pleased with how it looks

Fitted the front to the cowling

Finally fitted the canopy, this will be masked up tomorrow or Saturday morning as I am off to IWM Duxford in the afternoon for their Evening Airshow :cheers:

Thank you all it was indeed a lot of masking which because of that hurt to take off afterwards :)

Well there is was with masking about to be removed and final parts added, I am glad to say it was finished at 23:50 GMT on the 4th September 22 ahead of the original deadline :)
