I would have liked to but it's too far into the build to try it now. I may be interested in such in the future and maybe someone else can go through this thread later for their own build and get'er done right.....That's exactly how it should be: thick paint, "crazy painter at work", the lighter tone does not cover the OD evenly, no masking of insignia, serials etc.
Don, you did great here! This is probably one of the very few times I've seen this particular type of temporary camo done correctly. On the original photos one can virtually feel how thick the "paint" was applied with tools you already listed, but also with sponges and probably even with bare hands (e.g. the blue disk around the white star shows some traces of "dirty fingers"):

Please note that there are no runs or sags at all - that's not some standard paint from the can!
When I wrote you, I was thinking you'll not change anything, but now I see you did it. I think (not that I'm pushing you) you can revise the wings as well. And then eventually play a little bit with the fine sandpaper (or steel wool grade # 0000) to make some of the light coloured areas (or better only portions of them) look worn.

Don, I don't want to breathe in your neck on every step, so please do not take it wrongly, when I'm making some suggestions.Decals in place and clear coat applied. I found I could not account for the nose glazing but I did find someone who was parting out the kit on EvilBay.

NP, it's covered in the paint scheme. I very much appreciate your inputs. I haven't put the nose glazing on as I can't find it. We all know how organized I am and it's transparent, got another on the way, but yes I did catch that upper paint. Please, check the photos in your thread - just a reminder that the bombardier's noses of these particular birds were partially overpainted: the glazing in the middle is there but overpainted in the original tone OD. Then partially overpainted with mud - see detail from a previously posted photo:

Naw, just towed through the mudReal muddy wheels, must have landed after a rain storm.
Many photos of planes stuck in the mud in the rainy season in wwii.Had this problem when I was at Thumrait, Oman. The off load area for cargo was of the end of the runway and following the only rainstorm we had in my two years there, the C130 gamely headed for the off load area and sunk in the water logged sand.
