Are the 3d printed details the water decals? If these are that's the reason for the white CA residue. None of the CA adhesives likes the moisture. If you don't believe me , take some of the Superglue on your finger and put it into a water and then make it dry blowing. The white deposit should appear quickly.
Yes that is the case. I guess you could flot the decal and let them dry out in light pressure clamping tweezers but while they are tough, heavy pressure can cut/break them. Anyway white glue PVA glue works well. They do call for CA but seems everyone does.

Well now thank you all for checking in and for your comments. Moving on as you've all read by now is a dream. A three year old could work this kit and that's a good thing because I'm the one doing it.

Looks brilliant so far! :)

Gives me an idea for the Foreign Service GB next year if I can find the right sort of P-38... :-k

It's North Africa and that's a dusty sandy dirty place. So I don't want pristine pretty gear wells. I mixed-up some oils (raw sienna and yellow ochre) and played with dirting up the wells. Trying not to overdue it.

Before you say it, yep I've seen that color before when the kids were young!!!! Makes me want to put my gas mask on even now.

Mixed-up way too much as just a few tiny tooth pick dabs here and there and a lot of thinner makes it go and go and go....

Overall I'm pleased but your thoughts?

Working the booms. Lots of radiators. The oil cooler called for Tamiya AS 6 which translated to a gold titanium. Mixed Vallejo gold with silver. Who'd of thunk needs one part silver to ten or twenty parts gold. Got 'er done though. The radiators on the boom I painted Vallejo metal colors aluminum and than went over all the radiators with Tamiya black panel line.
