I glued together the main structure taking my time to make sure everything lined up after reading some reviews about trouble with this kit. The last picture shows that the alignment is pretty good.
I've been working on the wing to boom glue joints over the last couple of days. They all needed quite a bit of fileing and filling with CA, and then a lot of wet sanding. A lot of the panel lines and duz fasteners were wiped out so had to be replaced. I used my smallest drill bit in a pin vice to replace and deepen all the duz fasteners. It has been sanded down through 800 grit and I still will hit it with 1500.
I was not happy with the center section canopy so pulled it apart and re-set it, and masked. Then I wet sanded everything with 1000 grit and sprayed on the OD anti-glare, and white flowed by red on the tips of the tail fins and spinners. All Testors square bottle enamel.
Will start masking off for the silver next.
