Wings are on. The fit is a problem, the areas with the red arrow need a fair bit of material removed as well as the bottom of the bulkhead marked in red and the area on top of the wheel bays. I cut off the elevators and flaps as well so they can be posed. Should get the paint done over the weekend baring any distractions !

Well she's all painted up and ready for the dreaded decal procedure. I used poster putty to mask the camouflage to give it a softer demarcation line. AK acrylic lacquers which I love as much as the old Testors Model Masters Enamels. Still have lots left, just none of the more popular colours. One thing that finally dawned on me. I used the wrong wing bottom. The version I'm building doesn't have the guns outboard of the landing gears. Of course I cut out the holes for the guns. I might put the gun barrels in the holes, haven't decided yet ? Landing gear has some PE parts and some fiddley bits, could be testing of the nerves. Otherwise so far so good !

Well here we go, nearing the end. Decals and stencils. I have to say the landing gear was difficult, lots of tiny parts. I used the PE oleo scissors and added some wire brake lines but assembling it so everything was in the right spot was a challenge. Especially the actuators for the inner doors ! Eyesight, maybe a bit of arthritis and some loss of dexterity or just age, who knows but I'm starting to feel it ! Hopefully I can have it done over the weekend.
