MY DUCHESS B25.jpg

This is the best reedition of the model I've seen. This is the only one where they painted the ring cowl blue and got the white on. The bat is black.
I'm going to go with this as in my estimation in the washed out color photo the bat is much darker than the ring cowl in the photo which is deventaly dark blue. If the bat is not black it's awfully darn close. Black (flat in particular) can have a bluesish hit with the sun just right. They said the SR-71 was not painted black but a VERY dark blue. (BS, I've been up close and touching it) It's black. So My final answer is it's BLACK BABY!!!!

Don, the photo of the model you show above is from LSP and is the "big brother" (1:32) of your bird - here's a link to the "Ready for inspection" thread.
I attached the article from MIM (Issue 019, Nov.2012) with the same model. The author describes his troubles with the bat-decal. He says "the bat is blue"...and gives a Mr. Colour paint number. - check page 31, first column.
Please, don't hate me! I don't want to spoil your game....
Cheers!

OK so now I'm gonna cry, I may have screwed up the interior, (not that I can't fix any of it) so Interior colors? I went with and over all interior green. The kit calls for an aluminum bomb bay and much of the rest including the turret area and most of the floor of the flight deck. I may be wrong but by 44/45 I figured my coloring to be right but I'm trading my figuring in for some thing else.... Tell me what I need to know. Do I need a new box of crayon's? I think Dutchess is history! I'd need to make templates and paint it, and that's just not happing. Tears running down my beer.

O.K. - this might help you. I think either Paul posted it in this forum earlier or I have it from somewhere else, but no mater what, this are the true colours (document attached).
For the interior colours I have an addition from a manual, where BLACK paint has been added to prevent reflection. This is something not very well known esp. based on the serial numbers of planes.
Important Painting of B-25 interior.jpg

And just for the fun of it: this could be you (or me, or anybody else) many, many years ago:

Morning Yves, Your correct I posted the Painting of airplane interior in the B-25 weapons thread a long time ago. Source of the document ws North American Weekly Service Bulletins Vol 2 Number 36 :)

While I'm still contemplating which bird to do, probably Cactus Kitten or Jaunty Jo, I'm doing a re paint of the interio. The Dull dark green seems to come out to FS 34092. I used Vallejo model air dark green 34092 for the cockpit and Tamiya yellow green for the aft. CATCH 22 CATCH 22 what's you thought. Bomb bay is painted in Alclad II aluminum.

I do find it ironic that this GB ends on December 7th (a date that will live in infamy), probably had we figured it in should have been a pacific thearior them....
