Interesting, it seems the photo is mislabelled. That's a YB-17 (notice nose turret and air intakes above the engines).

Update: serial 36-152 according to the American Air Museum in Britain and b17flyingfortress.de.

And no, it ain't. It is an earlier sharktail.
Y1B-17? B-17A? I don't research nuthin'. The beautiful, full blisters and "pimple" on the nose is an immediate tip-off. Let's not forget those cowlings.
