Empire Tide was a 6,978 GRT CAM ship which was built by Lithgows Ltd, Port Glasgow. Launched on 27 May 1941 and completed in October 1941. Sold in 1945 to Ropner Shipping Co Ltd and renamed Thirlby. Sold in 1956 to Transportes Maritimos Atlas Sa, Panama and renamed Guri. Sold in 1963 to Panamanian Oriental Steamship Corp, Panama and renamed Anto. Operated under the management of World-Wide Shipping Ltd. Sold in 1965 to Eastern Giant Navigation Co Ltd, Bahamas, remaining under World-Wide's management. Sold in 1966 to Apollo Shipping Co SA, Panama. Scrapped in November 1966 at Ikeda, Japan.[9]

I'm pretty sure that this is not a Mk IId, but is one of the three Mk V's built- they were all converted Mk IV's, and had an uprated Merlin 27 or 32 driving a four bladed Rotol Spitfire prop and spinner, along with a larger armored radiator. Not proceeded with, they were all converted back to Mk IV's. The other two Mk V's were NL255 and KX405.

That's quite a history of V7129.
It was the first CAM Hurricane to be shot off a cargo ship. H. Davidson was the pilot, 31-5-41.
Now to find a photo of That one with markings.
 
The Merchant Ship Fighter Unit reports V7129 arrived in 12 May 1941, along with V6639, W7043 and V6610 from Yeovilton

P/O JH Davidson did a 20 minute test flight in V7129 on 14 May, more test flights on 15 and 18 May. P/O ARM Campbell arrived at MSFU on 18 May flew V7129 to Abbotsinch on 20 May. Davidson flew V6610 to Abbotsinch on 22 May, on 23 May Sub Lt Vickers the FDO left for Abbotsinch. On 27 May P/O Ball flew V6639 to Abbotsinch. Also on 27 May "number 2" crew to Abbotsinch plus W/Cdr FS Moulton-Barrett to supervise the embarkation of "number 1" crew onto SS Empire Moon.

31 May first trial launch of aircraft from Empire Rainbow carried out at Glasgow, not successful
