Bombing training computer

One of the most remarkable pieces of apparatus in use by the Royal Air Force in the Ground Teacher, which gives a nos and trained man practices and experience in bomb aiming and bombing with out leaving the ground.
The pupil lies on a platform equipped with computer, bomb sight, Air-speed recorder etc, over horizontal screen on to wich is projected en showing (in selae) four miles of moving Landscape. Height, Height, speed, course etc, are reproduced by intricate machanisme partly controlled by "pilot" who site beside the pupil and operates the rudder bar to alter course as in a high flying bomber.
The pupil is thus given instruction, with out leaving the ground, in dead-reckoning, aviation and bombing, and when he releasses his "hit" is shown on the screen, thus allowing his faults to be corrected. The picture shows the electrically controlled mechanisme which projects the moving landscape image and reproduces height, speed, drift, otc.
