In my castle....
This one has poked my interest.....

Question is though, was there any.......wait for it.....(drumroll) 13's?

According to my references the "White 9" was a Fw 190A-8/R-11. One of the aircraft developments undertaken specifically for Wilde Sau was the night fighter version of the Fw 190A. The choice was made to equip the aircraft with FuG217 Neptun J-2 or FuG218 Neptun J-3 radar with external antennas. After some experiments, an R-11 factory conversion kit was issued for the Fw-190A-8. it contained the radar installation with external wing-mounted antennae, underbelly 300 liter auxiliary fuel tank, additional flame dampers over the exhaust stacks and a landing light. So the proper question should have been how many of Rüstsatz 11 kits they made and attached to the A-8 Wurger. But I may be wrong.

most Fw's were not radar equipped. it is unclear how many were fitted with FuG 218N which white 9 is carrying it is noted in their diary as an A-7 though in appearance it is an A-8. Fritz Krause flew an A-6 before he started flying 109G-6/AS then G-14/AS and moving from NJGr 10 into NJG 11 along with the pilot that flew white 9 as well.....

FW 190 A-6/R-11 Nr.550143 of 1/NJGr 10 fitted with FuG 217 J2 radar at Werneuchen in 1944. This aircraft was flown by Oblt. Fritz Krause.

I'm not real sure he flew an R11 as so many sources state. this is the bird he flew in July of 44 and caught a Mossie and shot it down, and before the Fw's were sent out and replaced by higher flying 109G-6/AS
