Little Norway!...well, about 10 miles north, actually

Pulled a faux pas tonight and fell asleep on the couch. When I woke up, the sun had already set. I was gonna write it off for tonight, but after a bit, I looked out the window and the afterglow was just so lovely, I thought I'd give it a shot.
Unfortunately, cell phone technology just hasn't advanced far enough to pick up that kind of detail (at least with any cell I can afford ).
Anyway, here's the best that I could do tonight...

LOL, all the years I have lived in Washington and I did not know that nickname.
My view is the OTHER side of those mountains.

My sunsets from the house are out the straits and over Vancouver Island.
This one was a UFO cloud two nights ago.

yes. I have a great view to Mt Baker and the North Cascades and Whidbey. The property is backed right up to a new development. I put the house close to that edge and the property has so much character that it needed a daylight basement, and the 2nd story was to insure that view. It is our retirement place so I planned it with this lift from the first time pencil touched gridded paper.
We can live on the main floor and never leave it. But my shop is the basement and the 2nd floor is guest space, and everybody is getting old.
I will not hijack your thread further, I post about it in the what are you doing today thread.
