**** FINISHED: 1/48 Republic F-84E Thunderjet – The Jet Age.

That is a gorgeous looking model. I used to see Gen. Scott at the Museum of Aviation at Robins AFB on occasion. Really nice guy.

I wish I had had the opportunity to meet him. I started work on his P-40K and got it about 3/4 completed when I put it aside. I must get back to it someday.

The Museum of Aviation has a P-40 on display that is in his markings from the China days. They also have a section devoted to him from his childhood all the way to running the Olympic torch when the Olympics were held in Atlanta. He was a big backer of the museum and there is a video of him talking through his biography. He really was a cool guy to talk to and is greatly missed.
