Indeed if he is in certain parts of Brisbane I would be surprised if you hear from him before next week. The devastation on the TV is the worst I have ever seen. I never saw 1974 as I was born after, but this certainly is the biggest one in my lifetime. This is even worse thanthe aftermath of what a cyclonic rain depression does.

I should add that much of New South Wales and Queensland are in an extended drought. So everything is very dry.
