I would say the offset lithography system lost one or two colours during the printing process rather. Also look at the yellow ID markings.. the Ostfront ... ja ?
Usually , a such kind of profiles can be found in shoddy books about WW2, especially in the encyclopedia type.. and these have nothing in common with the reality.
