Replacement for the EA-6B Prowler in the electronic warfare roll, the EA-18G Growler brings a fleet commonality with it, operating along side the F/A-18E and F super bugs much of the airframe is now in common with the rest of the squadrons. It also reduces the manpower requirement (2 down from 4) and add a whole new dimension in speed, agility and self defence. Though it dose not retain the M-61 20 MM rotary barrel cannon, it retains the capability to carry and employ air to air missiles such as the AIM-120C and D. It also employs the same ALQ-99 jammer systems as the EF-111 and EA-6B. The aircraft can also employ the AGM-88 High Speed Radiation (HARM) missile.

Meng has released a very nice set of Super Hornets (super bugs) and the E/A-18G is one of the latest in the line. Since I was working a Prowler I thought I should do a Growler.

The Kit.
