Evan, I hesitated before applying these decals (victory markings), because I read somewhere that it was possible/probable that these markings were added after Sugita's death on April 15, 1945 to raise morale. Other sources indicate that these markings would have been applied in March 1945 when 343rd Kokutai was on Matsuyama airbase (before departure to Kanoya airbase early in April 1945)... But I finally decided to apply them because I find it prettier!
Looks good Steph. there are definitely indicators that victory markings were applied to a number of Shiden-Kai aircraft, I have 2 pics and there are reportedly unpublished photo's with multiple markings in private collections....sadly.
