A fine looking yellow. I too added some red to an almost full bottle mostly for the reason you give but also for the reason that somehow I have four full bottles of Tamiya yellow

Thanks friends. Uncorked the yellow again and sprayed the leading edges. Eduard has us painting the these form the tips all the way up to the root fillets. Will check that. Also shot in the same session, the Sky band.

The support straps on the drop tanks are strips of aluminum foil tape. A bit too shiny perhaps.

I'll be adding scratch-built fuel and pressure lines to these after applying the stencil decals.

Thanks again for the looks and likes.

Thanks Geo. I looked close at the shots on page 1 of my bird as well as the one you posted above and have come to the conclusion that the yellow LEs did indeed extend up to the fillet. See below detail of my bird showing the yellow stopping just to the left of the bottom corner of the 'B'.

Thanks Terry. That diagrams shows, however, that the yellow extends right up to the wing root which differs from Eduard's instructions and from what I see in the pics. I think I will stop it at the fillet.

Yes, I've tried to find clear photos of the Mk.IV showing the yellow band, but inconclusive. I have, however, seen photos of the Mk.III, as well as Allison-engined types, with the yellow bands up to the wing root, and also just to the outer edge of the root fillet.
I agree with your choice though, and I would do it the same way.
