Thanks gents. Compared my last two photos, the right is closer in real life and it was sprayed at the same mix as on the left

Thank you. Waiting for stuff to dry so I thought I would tackle the radiator thangs which need to be glued in before the togetherness. These were already sprayed Nato Black when I did the innards. Dry brushed with Model Air Aluminum because this is all this stuff is good for. Not too concerned about neatness as these will be buried

Thanks Vic but I still think I'm being slow, 5 pages and still on the innards. Hopefully this will change. Anyhoo. Waiting for stuff to dry and off to the spares bins. This aircraft had two rear view mirrors of different design and the kit had none; odd as so many Mustangs had one. Nothing in the RAF or US bins so I searched on line and found some resin ones but pretty costly. Then I remembered that I hadn't removed the spare parts from a P-47 I had recently finished and ta-dah, not one but two mirrors, one needing adjustment so I added some plastic card. I'll get them closer to final shape later with the key word being close

Good for you George. First rule of thumb, never chuck any left over bits, you never know.
Yep. I wanted to mount some paper fuel tanks as per the photo and again, oddly, the kit didn't have them. I did find some tanks in the stash but the bands are in the wrong place so now I'm left with racks and no braces. Went back to the P-47 box and found tanks which had a built in rack system. Not gonna work but beside them, freakin' separate sway braces.....sweet. Anyhoo....innards done

Geo .. if you have these tanks of the correct shape and fitting the scale ... sand down the wrong located bands. Then cut out the strips ( bands ) from a piece of the aluminium foil and stick them at the correct places. Use some of the CA glue .... I made the braces for the fire extinguisher and the oxygen tank just in the way.
