Just a note for the diorama. The Italeri Pegasus bridge box art shows a red beret (actually maroon) displaying the Parachute Regiment cap badge.
This is incorrect, as the troops were from the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry ( Ox & Bucks), a glider borne unit of 6th Airborne Divn., and not paratroops.
Although uniforms (including beret) and equipment were the same, the cap badge was the brass hunting horn of the Light Infantry Brigade. Also, paratrooper wings were not worn on the right shoulder of the Dennison smock by this unit.
However, it is more likely that the steel para helmets were worn anyway, until combat was over, with the possible exception of a radio operator.
