Erich Rudorffer
was a German Luftwaffe fighter ace who served throughout World War II, achieving 222 confirmed aerial victories. He was one of the most successful fighter pilots in history, flying over 1,000 combat missions across all major theaters of war, including the Eastern Front, the European Theater, and the Mediterranean. Rudorffer was shot down 16 times and parachuted nine times, and is also known for being the last living recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.
This is his early war Fw190A-4. Colors are desert, with the addition of Olive Green on upper surfaces.
Looking forward to this Bill. I finished mine in July. Only took eight years. I had a fit issue with the cowling and if I recall, I removed some engine material. You can't tell because of the fans and propeller in the way
