If it's not too late I'd like to participate the GB with the Tamiya FW190-9 1/48 kit
this will be my first FW190 as well as my first GB, so looking forward to it

when trying to research the JG301 Blue 15 I got the impression that profile in the kit may have mistakenly referenced Yellow 15
and this site being as fantastic as it is for information, going to build as JG301, Yellow 15

if I've got that wrong please chime in....

I'll be using Clave's profile found here for reference

thanks Gents

and fubar57 fubar57 I'll check out the TopDrawings...my book repository is sadly way out of balance and anemic compared to my stash :D
I really need to invest in good reference material

This bird is definitely Yellow 15, there is no White strip forward of the Yellow band it is a Lighter coloured section of likely RLM 76.

It also DOES have a thin Red Horizontal Bar not visible in that rear view pic as well as the other ordinary 10 oclock view image either. There is a much sharper image from the 10 oclock view in Vintage eagles book which clearly shows the red Stripe.

Thank you Wayne, much appreciated! I had planned on painting the thin forward strip white, will adjust to 76

I will search for that Vintage Eagles book for the red bar, as you indicated the images I've seen t dont clearly show that
