So the nose is glued on but it's wider than the kit….. not sure how this is going to work out, whole lot oh filling going on!!!!

The Tamiya nose is probably correct so maybe sand the resin part down to suit the kit profile.

Agree, but I'm thinking is far enough apart it may have to blend some. We'll see

Can you put a shim of plastic card between the Tamiya nose to widen it a touch, then sand down the resin nose a bit? (Sort of half-and-half approach rather than a solid sanding or filling and sanding of one of the parts).

Thanks guys, I think for the most part, rasping the nose has done the job. But we'll see as the act of rasping ended up breaking the nose off again. I'm thinking two part epoxy.

Well, that seems to have worked.....
I think I have enough.
I used the black. But a squirted out enough to hold the nose on a real P-38/F-5A.

I really don't think so. Other than cutting the resin and filing it down, they are easier to install. One part instead of five or seven. the air intake scoops are all two sides for 8 parts with the kit and only one each with the Brassin. so there is that but Tamiya did a nice job as is.
