Last fuel stop if you're "flying west", my friend! We'll all make a stop there someday.Great pic, johnbr, but I gotta wonder about any airport named Gravesend !
Aye, Sir, and stand by for the rifle salute and the missing man flyby....is that taps I hear over the loudspeaker?
Where's the missing man? That's just a sloppy finger four. #2 should be tighter, #3 missing and #4 flying normal position for a moderately tight finger four, with the #3 gap glaringly obvious.
Well at least you had a picture available. I saw some impressive flybys in the Nav. They were fairly frequent back then if you lived on a fighter base and there was a war going on, but unfortunately I have no surviving photos....don't be so picky. If you don't like the pic so much, post one of your own.
Not that big a deal. I was just being tongue-in-cheek snide and I guess I missed the mark. Sorry.FWIW, I pulled that image off of Google Images. the caption said it was the missing man formation. It was the best example I could find that used WWII era aircraft.
If you don't like it, I'm sorry. Maybe you can google "missing man formation WWII aircraft" and locate a better one.
Hey you hardly ever see a NAVY "vibrator", especially with a wingwalker and a tailpiece like that! SNV!
No, I prescribe a time machine for your malady!...maybe I should seek help.
