46th Taman Guards Night Bomber Female Aviation Regiment. "Night Witches".
The Germans called them "Night Witches" because all combat sorties were exclusively nightly, and before diving into enemy positions, the pilots turned off the engines on their Po-2 biplanes and only a quiet rustle of air under the wings remained, similar to the sound of a broomstick.

Written on an airplane "we avenge battle friends", names of the lost woman-pilots Tatyana Makarova, Vera Belik.
