For comment. home Version 1, a few disclaimers and mark definitions etc. to come.

Oef, who wrote that CSS for the website?

Edit: sorry, didn't want to come across as too critical. It's a version 1 and some very good work and good info.

What I mean is I think you guys need to have a good look at the UX part of the website. It's scaling very badly on my phone, making it a bit unusable. Works relatively fine on my laptop, though.
I realise this is a work of love, so please accept my apologies if I came over as too arrogant or too rude. It was not meant that way.

but they do warn you near the bottom of the page that it is written for computers - not phones.

Disclaimer - Given my eyesight I never use my phone for important web sites like ww2aircraft

I get the same warning with Bit Defender. Same warning on the Spitfire site

Yup, G Geoffrey Sinclair , you guys have to look at the certificate. It's not valid anymore and most people will either not be able to see the site or get warnings all over the place. See if your hosting can provide a free Let's encrypt certificate that they auto-renew. If they don't, get yourself a better hosting.

A promise has been made to look at the Let's encrypt certificate as a standard SSL is too expensive
A standard certificate is overkill for these kind of sites anyway. I use Let's encrypt for all my sites.

Very nice work, I will look forward to the updates.
