Soren, go to Hotspaces thread, there is a complete walkthrough on how to do it with links and everything... If u vant figure it out, Space will usually come around and see it and help u... He saved my ass more than once, since I am/was illiterate at altering the game files...

I still am.... But Im getting better at making IL2 videos.... Check out my thread........

Thanks Les, will do!

So far I upgraded to v4.08m, which I think is the final patch ? I downloaded the (m) for merged patch because I bought an all in one pack with 'pacific fighers' included. It all seems to be working fine. Flew the Fw-190A-6 in a one on one against an ace P-51B, shot it down after 10min, but I had trouble keeping up with it in straight out speed. The mistake made by the -51 was making turns allowing me to close up and get in a couple of deflection shots, the final burst ripping of its left aileron sending it into a spin.

Soren, did u go to Hotspaces thread where u can get the soundmod download and all the other little juicy bits??? If not, u need to cause it definatly makes the game better, as well as allowuing u to fly some planes that, as u are set up right now, u cant fly....

All Aircraft Arcade :: View topic - [MOD] English Sound Mod SFX [MOD ACTIVATOR]

The basic mod adds the Curtis Hawk 75A-3/4 (with P-40B/C cockpit), the Morane's (with P-40B/C cocpit), Hs 129 (with Bf 110 cocpit), see the above link.

I personally like the new engine sounds of the mod, but not the weapns-fire. I prefer the stock weapons sounds.

My Bf110G on the plains near Smolensk, giving out a little hurt...

My tailgunner and I ended up being forced down by a persistant IL-2 shortly after this shot was taken (see Post #11 for the end result)...

My Dad was with the 390th bomb group 42nd bomber wing who knew Pappy and he said the flew fighter escort for them while he was in New Gueine in 1943-44. Sorry about spelling. My Dads name in at the bottom of the Intelligence reports.

Well...false alarm!

Someone called out a B-24 and got an intercept scrambled for nothing!

lmao...actually, I was looking through the ol' screen archives, and ran across a few I figured I'd post...

nice screenshots but you would live to tell about it if your attack was from above or head on but you already know that.

I actually prefer to attack from a high "5" crossing diagonally or a high-speed low "6" passing upwards...all depends on my speed, the amount of other attackers drawing attention away from my approach, etc...

I do not like head-on attacks, especially in a dogfight. Too risky and leaves too much to chance.

I can say without hesitaion that I have seen this tactic used in action and it works freaking quite well.

I'm just sayin'....
