That may be tough. It's not one of the better known aircraft of WWII

Looks like more of an early 30s design. Closer to the Hawker Biplanes.

Didn't they find the remains of a heap of these in Afghanistan? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere.

Yes,you are right. But it looks closer to Fiat 30's planes.Quite heavy in the look.

Good find Neldot.Your colour pic shows the same a/c as we can see in the second shot I've posted.

And Bullo, you can also find there some info with colour profiles of SB-2.

    A lucky find. :)

I was wondering if the photo is a recolour of a b/w pic or it's just a little faded.

I just found another picture. A frontal one. These pics were all taken in Albania (Scutari).

I love the Meridionali planes. My favourite is the Ro.57bis, I.M.H.O. the most stylish attack plane of the WWII.

From the period of the time my favourite are rather Fiat a/cs, CR-42 for instance. But the rest of the Italian planes look also interesting. As far as the pics are concerned I think that they were recolourized from B&W ones later.
