I shot this one yesterday at Camarillo, a Hellcat bagging a Zero. I know the Hellcat wasn't in service yet when Pearl Harbor was bombed, but the scene in the photo below was played out many times by the end.

Very atmospheric shot, I love it!

Not directly related, by an interesting cooincedence: just today I read about a Ford Trimotor that "was raided" on December 7, 1941 and survived to the current day:
