    Irving Berlin wrote this song in 1917 and never used it. He gave it to Kate Smith in 1940. Neither Irving Berlin or Kate Smith ever made a dime off of it. All proceeds were to go to the Boy Scouts of America. They received millions in royalities !

    Reminds myself how much I idolized the folks(my parents) of the Depression and WWII for there contributions.I use to watch all those movies of that era when young.Thks Charles
