Marched in my local parade today and was quickly reminded that -7 degrees and dress uniforms are not a good match. It was, as.always, an honour to be a small part.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.

the price of freedom is never ending vigilance. For some this comes at the supreme cost. we should always remember the men and women who have paid with their lives that we might be free.

And those who return with physical and other injuries that may result in years, or even a lifetime, of ongoing personal battles.

Every armed forces member, past and present, signed a cheque for his/her country valued up to and including laying down their life, if needed, to protect the freedoms we enjoy.
