Lockheed's C-141 "The Hanoi Taxi"

I had the chance to go in this 'plane at Oshkosh back in 2004 when she was parked up in the Aeroshell square.
I'd heard about the 'Taxi before so had to go and have a look inside.I spent half an hour looking at the displays and thinking....and I came out a different person.
I was very pleased when I heard that she was to be preserved and not broken up. And I was very surprised to bump into her at the USAF Museum in Dayton (allthough she was sealed up at this time)

I made about a half-dozen training jumps from 141s when I was in the 82nd. Nice rides, easy jumps, too, just walk out the jump doors and there you go. Most of the jumps were from C-130s, though nice rides, not as nice as 141s. Either beats walking..................
