Actually, I think they may not have been active on the forum.Sadly none who have the time or inkling to go that extra mile.
With so many hobby shops around in the DFW area (sarc) I guess he has one closer. (It's about 30 minutes for me, or about half of a one way work commute.)My cousin says he it's 45 minutes away from his house. Didn't even bother asking him. No worries. Sad to see it going out of biz with such a pedigree.
FYI. They discontinued plastic. Cash only. (Ed's friends are running it.)I was there last summer. There is a historical marker by the front door honouring the shop. I'll try to stop by this weekend.
Closing down. Ed Jr has onset dementia.They did a lot of wooden plane kits as I remember. They also had 0 scale figures that I remember and hope they are still there.
