Went to Leiden, birth place of the famous 17th century painter Rembrandt (The night watch etc.). It's a great, old city, lots of old buildings which makes photographing a lot of fun. I mainly used the 10-18mm lens (ultra wide angle), so I apologize in advance if you don't like weird distorted pictures for some reason.

Windmill to satisfy the ones who think in stereotypes.

What's a dutch city without bicycles?

Another typical view in a Dutch city, canals and bridges.

Loved the medival chuch. Should have been 3 times as big, but then money ran out.

The hidden gem of Leiden, a unique 'mot' castle.

Inside the mot castle

Outside of the mot castle. It's not so big and very old.

Lovely shots and I find it interesting that everyone firing a Musket has their eyes shut.

In Invernes they told me once that it wa common practice for muketeer to look the other way while firing the musket. Aiming was a wasted thing anyway.
