Trainer version next..A6M2-K, followed by the next variant, the A6M3 Model 22 and 32....the Clipped wing model 32 actually entered service first.
The main visual difference is a more streamlined cowling to accomodate a larger engine.

Agree, and it seems that Japanese aircraft offer plenty of scope for weathering/paint wear - great! Seeing all these has reinforced my idea of doing a 'Luftwaffe' Zero, but, from what Catch said, would it be Nakabishi, or a Mitsujama?! That trainer, with two seats, has the look of a Dauntless, don't you think? Great pics BTW Wayne.
