They are nice. Karl, I'm guessing, but those white lines are probably in relation to gun alignment/bore-sighting, for set-up with the synchronisation gear.

The pics behind the models are the Boxtop art as released separately.

In this set the boxart for each was supplied as a separate print. The set was released as a special edition of all Zero variants...2 or 3 had not been released previously as an individual kit...the A6M1 has only just been released separately in Japan.

Apparently only 2 prototypes of the A6M8 were built...I am aware of only 1 single photo of this variant.
The A6M8 was recently released in Aug as an individual kit.
