Agree with you there, espercially as any POL would never be left unattended once in use. The trolley Ac should really be plugged in too, given the situation on Malta. Still very good overall though.
 
Hah! I was looking at that and thinking to myself about how little fuel that would be and guessing it must be hand pumped from a field main tank. And then thinking about how many trips it would take by the ground crew for a single airplane fill. Nice catch! Good stuff, Wayne.
 
Yep. The towed bowsers were very big, around 2,000 gallons I think, with the bowser trucks bigger still. On Malta, the Spits were mainly re-fuelled from square, I think 4 gallon cans,not 'jerricans', by hand. These square cans were later filled with sand and used to make blast pens for the aircraft.
I'm fairly suer that's an oil re-supply cart in the diorama.
 
next Class up Modified Jets - Medium scale....didn't take a lot of shots for some reason..?
