Nice one! Agree about the panel lines though, as the Meatbox was finished in a smooth silver dope at that period, which didn't really show the joints much, unless close up. Shame about forgetting the nose weight - very basic stuff !!
Next subject....Fw190V18 U1 prototype for the Luftwaffe High altitude fighter program, when the performance requirement could not be achieved the aircraft was transferred to become a Ta152 prototype.
so I have included my Fw190V18/U2, Ta152 model for comparrison of the transformation....
Very nicely done. Isn't that the same prototype that Michael was building? The long exhausts remind me of that strange Bf109 which no one can figure out.
I agree with Matt. The old Airfix kit is, well ... old Airfix ! I think maybe the overall even paint finish adds to it looking a bit odd too. Nicely done for such an old, difficult kit though.
No those are 1/72nd scale versions of .303 flash hiders. What is throwing it off is the thickness of the turret perspex and no bottom framing. The perspex looks about 8in thick to scale.
