I love the made up '46 paint scheme. Would look cool posed with a Go 229. I have that one, and the jet version waiting on the shelf. This could get me motivated. But where to put it when it's done. It's huge!

Yeah looks like the Italeri YB-35 kit. The instructions say 6 pennies will make it sit correctly, as I recall. there is a ton of room in the nose to put them too, so the modeller must have just forgot? He also apprears to have scratch built the 20mm cannon for the turrets too. Nice paint job!

Nice. I like the convincing NMF too, and the wing barbettes - didn't know they were fitted.
Nicely done!

They weren't in the XB/YB-35. They were just faired enclosures. And the modeller missed a few.. unless purposely perhaps.

Thanks Matt. I'll have to check-out more on these designs, they're interesting, and something I haven't really bothered looking at before.

Yeah I think there were 7 total. Early versions were planned with .50s, later to be 20mm.

Stars and bars on both wings?

Nice. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the two sets of 'Stars and Bars' are correct for the period.
