Why does the FE110 AND FE610 LOOK so similar? That's highly unusual paintwork he do alike. What is the history of these 2 planes. I read that 610 was a test plane, is that correct?

FE means "Foreign Equipment" - both a/cs have been tested by the British. But originally 610 was with 10./NJG11 and 110 was with KG 51 and later went to JV 44 so all those were regular units.
610 is a Me 262B-1a/U1 and 110 is a Me 262A. IMHO these are two completely different camos. Only the small dots are similar and have been applied later. "Balkenkreuze" are also not the original ones, I believe the svastikas are re-applied later as well.

Are you saying FE is a post war marking? Would be a nice challenge to build one of these up.

To return to the markings, what began as FE, or Foreign Equipment markings, were later changed to T2 markings. T2 was code for Technical Intelligence at Wright Field in Dayton Ohio. Those aircraft used by the British had the AE prefix. USA numbers were painted on captured aircraft that were to be handed over to the Americans based on previous agreement. There was some friendly competition between American and British intelligence teams.

Red 12 had no special colour on the nose AFAIK:

There is camo there and on the pic in your post here. The darker shade may be due to the nose tip being steel if I recall.

Ok thanks I struggle to analyse these photos

I can't believe FE610 Is the same plane. I need to do a lot more reading.

As memo serves that's the same plane. And I agree with Andy. Initially no special colour there. However it looks like there were two rings of different colours and the very front part in the camo. But I would say that's the shadow of the antenna support. It can be better noticed in the first pic posted by Andy and in the enlarged shot below.

As per the link I posted above earlier:
FE-610 Messerschmitt Me.262B-1a/U1
(WkNr 110306) 'Red 6' 10/NJG11, Luftwaffe. Surrendered to RAF at Schleswig-Jagel, Germany, it was transferred to the
USAAF, becoming Watson's Whizzers '999', before being shipped to the US. Evaluated as FE-610, but later e-serialed T-2-610
it was named "Ole Fruit Cake" and "Schwalbe". Scrapped at Freeman Field, IN, circa 1950.

This is the "Red 6" (306):

P.S. The above 2 photos are from this site, I forgot it earlier.

Sources vary on whether or not this aircraft (110306) is Red 6 or Red 9. From the recently published book "The Jet Night Fighters: Kurt Welter & The Story of the Messerschmitt Me 262 Night Fighters" by Andreas Zapf:

"Some sources are naming this aircraft 'Rote 6' but that was a single-seater flown by Lt. Jorg Czypionka at least until April 10, 1945. It is known that some of the twin-seaters are delivered after the bombing of the Burg airfield on that day and therefore, she could have theoretically received this 'Red 6' - but 'Rote 9' makes much more sense in the actual sequence of the aircraft known to have flown with 10/NJG11."

The Kagero Monograph 3D #47 on the Me 262 also calls it Red 9.
