The Pic I had was of one with a weld on the side.....I put the weld....I thought it looked cool.

Dave: The Quad-50s have been around for a while. This was mounted on a deuce and a half so it could be easily moved around the firebase. At night, firing tracer rounds looked like starwars

I've always thought the quad .50 cal was an awesome weapon, particularly advanced for it's time in WWII. I believe they had a gasoline engine for the power operation, which was noisy in operation but made a very effective fast training weapon. The German equivelant flakvierling wasn't power operated and so inferior as an AA weapon.

Thank you and here is the latest SBD Dauntless, now im on a black F4U Corsair from the "Blacksheep" squadron.

Looking nice. But it is E-3 judging by the cockpit conopy, not G-3. E-4 and E-7 had a different central part of that. But taking the shape of the spinner into consideration it should be E-7.
