Since I was able to borrow a dig camera this week, I took some pics of what I've got laying around. Background is a divorce forced me after 20 years to get sucked into this hobby again  and I've missed alot of techniques and updates, so its old school modeling at its worst! Nothing is airbrushed, all hand painted, brush and poor color scheme before I knew what research was!

First bit are a few LW aircraft, Bf 109, Bf 110 and He 111 - all 1/48.

My display case and some die cast Fw 190s (two different manufacturers but I believe they depict 190s from the same unit - JG 2 - because of the "****'s Head" on the cowlings. The bombs on the one are upsetting!

And finally for my Dad who started me in this. When he passed in 2004 I inherited ALL his models and some I have displayed. The smaller Curtiss (I believe) he built in the early 60s - I have others including a FW 190 he built in late 40s. He's definately missed.

Very, very nice collection Njaco.I like your display case, it's the best example of how models should be kept comfortably and prevent them against the dust. :thumbleft:

Thanks all. Since I've gotten back in, I'm surprised at the level of detail for some models. All my paints were done with brush, sponge and the occassional Testors spray can. Can't afford an airbrush setup at the moment so I get inventive. And the case was picked up at IKEA for $99. Steal! These are just a small part of my collection. Most are packed carefullly in boxes. Once I have the room...more cases and more displays! Woo Hoo!

you've been busy man ! good job. that Glass vertical shelving really scares me though as I would probably move in the wrong direction and bust it into a million pieces if it were mine ..........

Very nice models. When I first moved to Florida my models were in boxes for two years in an aluminum shed.I knew they would be melted lumps of plastic when I finally got to display them but all survived.Hang in there, things get better.

Excellent models, Njaco. I don't own an airbrush myself either - they're just too expensive and bulky for my limited workspace right now. I use spray cans almost exclusively as well!

I esp like the black and green Fw-190s in the one picture together. Very nicely done. The He-111 is nice as well. If you haven't already, check mine out in another thread in this forum.

Please post more if you have them! Thanks for sharing:!:
