It was a cracking show. My compliments go to all involved, but I would specifically like to mention the pilots of the Sea Hurricane, Gladiator and Provost for some fantastic flying, allowing many photo opportunities, as well as the BBMF for an excellent Lancaster display.

some mighty fine shots, very impressive, man i love the Shuttleworth Collection, and enjoy the lanc's Micky the Moocher paint scheme, it's her last season in the current colours i believe........

Thanks again folks! I am glad you appreciate the pics :)

Any idea what's up next? I hope they'll do something really different once. A daytime scheme, perhaps even a Tiger Force scheme. Heck, even a French naval scheme would do! Personally I find black bellies extremely boring as they hide all nice details...

the next scheme's still a bit secret, it's incredibly unlikely to be a Tiger Force lanc and would NEVER be a French one, and the lanc's daytime scheme was no different to the night  the "slammers" (Mk.I Specials) sometimes carried the Temperate scheme which was simply the same green/brown uppers but extended further down the fusilage and engines, with light grey undersides, but 617sqn codes have already been carried so it wont be that, i wouldn't mind seeing some 460sqn codes, only time will tell! but in the meantime there's a couple of things to look out for this season, over the winter she had her No.3 engine replaced i believe and this is very exciting... last season new exausts were trialed on the No.1 engine (how many of you spotted?) and this season they're been fitted to all engines, and's it's believed they'll help direct emmisions from the engines and possibly extend their life a little, keep an eye out for them!

This month's FlyPast revealed the BBMF Lancaster scheme for next year: "Phantom of the Ruhr" with a rather sinister looking bomb-dropping skeleton nose art.

By the way, my camera died last October, so I bought a brand new EOS 400D last week! So watch out for more (and better) pics next year! ;)
