One aircraft I really wanted to see at Oshkosh was the B-29, and I wasn't disappointed. Both flying examples tipped up and I got a good look at both, one more so than the other, but to begin with, a wee tribute to Fifi, the Commemorative Air Force's B-29.

Continuing with my homage to the B-29, some images of Doc. This photo was the first time I had seen a B-29 in flight, it was cruising over the airfield while I was snapping aircraft in the static parks on the first day of the show.

These photos were taken at Appleton, rather than Wittman, where Doc was operating from. Doc has to be my favourite of the two because of her clean lines and polished metal finish. She looks like a Silverplate B-29 without the turrets.
