Here is my latest model finished

The model represents the plane flown by Lt. Col. John D. Landers, 78 FG, 84 FS, the P-51D named Big Beautiful Doll.

Airfix kit with Eagle Cal decals.

Entirely airbrushed with Tamiya acrylics.

Very nice indeed !
One small point, there wasn't an antenna wire - VHF radio was used, the antenna being a carbon rod within the mast.

Yes you're right!

Just learned that info today! None of the 8th AF P-51D at that time had the antenna wire. But they look cooler this way right?
