Once my daughter becomes old enough (and responsible enough...which is much more important than age), she's going to become familiar with the inside of a gun range. That way if she's ever out and about, and some pedo tries to do something, I can get a call to bring a body bag and a fresh mag. Prey on innocent, defenseless kids? Not on my turf.

On a more serious note, you're lucky to live in Texas on that point, your daughter can bear a gun for self-defence with a minimum of paperwork.

Here in Canada, it's harder to (legally) get a gun than to get a friggin passport. Plus you can't bear it unless you're a cop, soldier, security officer affected to money carrying or going hunting. And if ever you happen to kill someone, you'll have all kind of troubles.

Guess if ever I have a daughter, I'll have to teach her self-defence techniques I learned during my training... May be I'll even buy her a knife, just to be safe. (I, for myself, already have a replica of a USMC knife and an official British Commando knife.)

Ibata Noric Hexamer, a political organizer for several Vancouver City councillors and the federal NDP was charged with 23 counts involving alleged offences in Delta, Surrey and Vancouver dating back to 1995.

All in all, he commited three sexual assault at knifepoint : the first one was a 13-year-old girl in Vancouver (1995), the second two 14-year-old girls in Delta (2007) and the last one was against a 6-year-old in Surrey (2009).

The first alleged attack took place against a 13-year-old girl in a stairwell at Lord Nelson School in Vancouver in April 1995, according to police. The second involved two 14-year-old girls in Delta in August 2007.

The third attack was an alleged sexual assault on a six-year-old girl in Surrey in July 2009, while Hexaner allegedly ordered the girl's 12-year-old-brother and 15-year-old friend to lie on the ground.

In all three attacks, Hexamer is alleged to have threatened the victims with a knife.

Police said they used DNA evidence found at the three crime scenes to link Hexamer to the attacks.

Hexamer is facing a total of 23 offences, including several counts of sexual assault, sexual touching, invitation to sexual touching involving a person under 14, unlawful confinement, robbery and uttering threats.

Hexamer, who remains in police custody, has no previous criminal record, said police.

The good thing is the scumbag left DNA evidence on all of the three crime scenes, which should get him in jail for a looooooooooong time.

A convicted sex offender from Calgary, Eric Brian Wanamaker, who was caught looking at child pornography in a public place and sentenced to 11 years in jail in 1992, got caught again. He was charged with one count of possession of child pornography last Friday.

Police said they received a tip from a member of the public that someone was viewing child porn on a home computer.

Police searched a home in the 4300 block of Bowness Road N.W. on Thursday and seized computer equipment, including hard drives, towers and DVDs.
