Oh - so you think you're good then.

Describe how a line of verse read in iambic pentameter would go.

in an iambic pentameter, it would be said almost rhymically, like a poem, and there would be ten beats, in 5 pairs, each par consisting of a short and a long beat.......

It's sad that they teach about poems, stories and literature yet they cannot teach how to speak or write basic English properly.

We didn't have English sets when I was in school. We only had German, Science and Math sets. If they did have English sets and you two were in my year, you'd both be the bottom one writing like you do!

And have you discovered what an oxymoron is yet, lanc?

Yes, Iambic Pentameter is common in most Shakespeare plays.

What wrong with my writing D? My Typing sucks ass but Im pretty good with a pen and paper... ;)

I never understood how the Yamb differs from Trokhey... I was allways sleeping in classes of literature.

Quron - or how did you say it - do you mean with color close to background of this MB, with a flat, oval hat? To prepare it with cumin on a pan? That's one of my favorites!

les: you mean the magic mushrooms?

ah, these aren't good to serve to your family... otherwise ther aren't hippies... i had it several times, but no more, since you never know what it could do to you. but here's an article from some Czech/English blog:

Czech Stoners: We're Number One!
Hm. What is it that tells me that across the Czech Republic, stoners are high-fiving each other and waving big foam "We're #1!" fingers today? This story led MFDnes today, and the translation is mine:
Czech Republic is a paradise for marijuana and ecstasy

Czechs are the uncrowned kings of the European Union in smoking marijuana and using ecstasy. More than 20% of Czechs between 15 and 34 regularly roll up marijuana (joints, presumably -ed). Ecstasy tablets, which are called the drug of love, are swallowed by 6% of young Czechs. No other European country has more users of these drugs.

These are the findings of a report published in Brussels by the European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction.

"It's a result of the sweeping changes that have happened in the Czech Republic after the 1989 revolution. Until then, Czechs had relatively little experience with drugs. Mostly young people very quickly got acquainted with the West's drug addiction," said the center's expert, Paul Griffiths.

Domestic experts pin marijuana and ecstasy's large popularity on something else. Getting hold of both drugs is very easy in the Czech Republic, and also cheap. "Ecstasy's price has fallen in recent years by two thirds. You can buy a tablet for 100 crowns," said Jiří Presl of the Drop In organization, which focuses on drug issues.

Presl warned mainly about ecstasy, which is used most often by attendees at weekend dance parties. "People underestimate this drug and think they're not at any risk. That's a mistake. Long-term use can lead to psychological addiction," Presl said.

Better-informed young people could bring about a change, according to Presl. An information campaign about ecstasy's risks - and that of other drugs - is counted on as part of an anti-drug campaign until 2009, but must first be approved by the government in December.

European experts in their report also pointed to positive developments. "The good news is that the number of people who died as a result of overdoses has fallen," said Georges Estievenart, director of the European drug monitoring center.

Chart: How many people take drugs (aged 15 to 34, in percent)

2. Ireland 5 %
3. Great Britain 4,5 %

I've always known the Finnish as being the biggest consumers of alcohol, or maybe that's just vodka.
