Curtiss P-40Q, any ideas on how they cooled the engine? I dont see any sort of air intakes other than what I presume is the carb in take

the radiator was moved to the bottom of the wing center section, it has an adjustable intake and is hard to see on the dark images you posted. It can be seen in the image below of a later prototype.

But even this one is different no carb intake and there is an intake below the prop. The photos I posted look to me like "lets do this and we'll figure the rest out later". Thanks for the post to the web page it made for some excellent reading....

Air intakes in the leading edge of the wing inboard of the landing gear.

So, the swastika in the spinner is backwards from the Nazi swastika. The symbol comes from Sanskrit and means good luck. It's about 7000 years old. It's been used in indigenous Asian, African, Indian, and Native American art. I don't think it was placed there by Lindberg.
Charles Lindberg definitely had sympathies for Hitler, but I'm guessing that you were making a joke.
Besides, Red Herrington AND Dapper Dan weren't Nazis, were they?

I have it on good authority that any display of any swastika in any context is undisputable proof that you are a NAZI!!! Of course it's found in sanskrit. They were the original NAZIS!!! Why do you think Hitler called the Third Reich Aryan?
So were the Native Americans, and the Spartans. And the Finns, Latvians and a host of others throughout history. It's ancient. They are everywhere. Swastikas, that is. And NAZIS!!!!!!
Don't believe me? Look around. They are hidden in plane sight. Look at any wall made with square tiles. It's subliminal. But once seen you can't unsee them!
I had to stop going to events at the Metrodome when I realized that the inflatable roof had a GIANT SWASTIKA built right in! I could never support NAZIS!!!!
When they tore it down I wept for joy.

Where did you get the actual tin Foil? I heard from a good authority that when the aliens found out how tin foil placed in hats blocked their abilities to both read our minds and control our thoughts, they purchased ALCOA and substituted aluminum foil for tin foil, as aluminum foil actually enhances their abilities to control our thoughts. I was then introduced to the vast interstellar conspiracy to eliminate tin foil production on Earth!
The scariest thing was that the unnamed expert had both an A&P license, and a commercial pilots license.
