Check how the difference between the yellow and (supposedly) red tail markings is pretty obvious. On several occasions we discussed the a/c of Makoto Ogawa and Yoshio Yoshida and their wrong (yellow) vs. correct (red) markings.

I was always trying to use photos like the one in post #7975 as a proof for the red markings. Usually the answers against this assumption were that those are orthochromatic photos etc. - you know the theory. I don't think this was the case and those photos can prove it. Yellow appears much lighter than red (e.g. hinomaru).
