Note the oblique mounted 20mm Ho-5 cannons behind the cockpit. A/c with such armament are from type Ki-45 Kai Tei (丁型).
This IS NOT the variant usually described as the first Ki-45 Kai Tei produced. In fact those were modified Ki-45 Kai Ko (short nose) with 2x12.7mm Ho-103 nose guns and 2x12.7mm oblique mounted Ho-103 guns. The variant is also known as Ki-45 Kai Ko Tei (甲丁型):
