Not too bad. We'll have it back on the line in the morning.

The B-29 has a big cockpit area, looks like there's 3, maybe 4 feet between the two pilot's seats.
No problem with fitting them side by side, and plenty of room for the bombadier to get between them to get to the bomb sight.

Yes, it has to be the co-pilot's seat. And note the obsession with the turbo controls. The P-38 used a spring attached to the throttle linkage to control the turbos. The B-29 used electronic turbo controls. And the B-29 had two turbos per engine. With the V-3420's installed rather than the R-3350 they would have to do the same thing. Obviously, some development had to be done and that bore close watching by someone who had close access to the throttles.

Note the box is fake one made by someone who sells them on ebay. Or maybe it is evidence of a parallel universe.

Maybe that's why we haven't seen more - this was the one trial and after that no-one else was crazy enough...:p
Maybe uncle Joe never knew about that so no one asked for some divisions!

I think that otherwise he would had found it very useful for the inhabitants of the Gulag Archipiélago. 😉
